My first 5K!!!!

I am pointing to my little pink ribbon for breast cancer on my shirt.
I received this medal for baing a cancer survivor who completed the 5K.
Me and my sista - April. She did it with me but left me in her dust - it was her fifth 5K and my first!!!!!

Into the colors...

So this was our annual trip up the canyon into the Fall colors..... it was cloudy and cool but my kids clothes show their own decision-making skills......
Rylee and Tyler "ham it up" for the camera, while Josh tolerates it. In fact, Josh told he was not "prepared" for me to take pics...meaning his shirt was not "right" and his hair needed "styling". Silly boy! We went up Santaquin Canyon with my sister April and her family. I sure LOVE Fall and all it COLORS!!!

TODAY WAS THE DAY.....we sold our beagle puppy Ollie...it was very sad. but he is going to a place with lots of room to run outside and another dog and kids to play with....we will sure miss Ollie!!!!

Heart Attack

Well, it felt like I was having a heart attack anyway. My chest started hurting on Thursday night with a really sharp pain and it happened all of a sudden. I was sitting there watching TV and texting when it felt like I was being stabbed in the heart. Then I was crying from the pain and I couldn't breathe normally. So my friend drove me to the ER - the Am. Fork hospital is so close I probably could have walked - just kidding - I could barely stand from the pain! They hooked me up to oxygen and gave me an IV of morphine (which at first did not touch the pain), gave me aspirin to chew in case I was having a heart attack. And then I did test after test- given more meds and tons of x-rays and ultrasounds and EKGs and blood tests. I was in the ER for 7 hours!!!!!!!
So the verdict was that I have pleurisy. "This is an inflammation of the surface of the lung tissue. It can be caused by old scar tissue" (since I've had pneumonia and bronchitis countless times). It is painful and the pain is made worse by heavy breathing" (of which I was doing because I was in PAIN-duh!) "coughing or sudden movements. The treatment is relief of symptoms which include rest" (yeah - I like that idea!) "anti inflammatory medication and pain medication".
So THAT was MY excitement of last week.

Todd from Survivor China

I was in Macey"s grocery store in Pleasant Grove and who should I see but Todd from Survovor China. It was so weird cuz I had wacthed him all season on T.V. way far away on some remote location in another land......and then - there he was-right in front of me. He kindly posed for a cell phone pic.

Okay, he is thriteen now and an official teenager so I probabyl shouldn't call him "Joshie" still but he will always be my baby boy!!!!

Rylee turns eight!

It is great to be eight! Rylee had a tinkerbell party and was baptized. She is our princess and has a Tinkerbell decorated bedroom. Here she is laying on the floor next to her fairy pinata that all the girls got to beat to bits and Mom finally ripped it open so the candy would come out.

Ollie, our BELOVED pure-bred beagle. We sure love him. We've had him since he was old enough to leave his mom - 5 weeks. However, after moving into this rental townhouse, we are not supposed to have him there. But we can't seem to find a home for him or is it that we are not really trying?!?!?!?!?
